How to Put Together Stylish Outfits for Summer Evenings

Remaining stylish during hot summer nights could be quite a challenge. But there’s no need to forsake your look for comfort (or vice-versa.) All you need to do is follow these tips on how to put together stylish outfits for those hot summer evenings.

1. Dress Up

A dress is one of the best pieces to wear for a summer night out. It’s easy to wear and effortless to accessorize. Best of all, it’s chic AF.

For summer nights, however, some styles rise above the rest. They include the following:

2. Sundress

The name says it all. This dress is made for sunny days (and nights.) It’s often made of cotton and other lightweight fabrics and is usually loose in nature to keep you cool in warm weather.

3. Maxi Dress

Just like the sundress, a maxi dress is a flowy frock that’s perfect for balmy summer evenings. Despite its length, it can keep you cool since it’s often made of breezy fabrics.

4. Flowy White Dress

White is a color that’s cool to the skin (and the eyes) since it reflects light. Coupled with a flowy design and various lengths, a white dress can make you look hot一but not feel like it!

1. Wear a Romper

Wear a Romper

Apart from a cute summer dress, a romper is one of the best attires to wear on a hot summer night. While putting on (and removing) it may be quite a challenge, it’s worth the effort.

Similarly, rompers come in a variety of designs. Here are some of the best styles to try this summer:

  • Bold-colored rompers. Go for summer’s hottest colors, which include bright orange and vibrant pink.
  • Printed rompers. Summer is the time for prints一more about that later!
  • White rompers. Just like white dresses, pristine rompers will make you feel effortlessly cool and chic during sweltering summer nights.

2. Go Printed

Summer is the best time to dress yourself in loud, eye-catching designs. If you want to be the belle of the summer ball, then go for a printed ensemble.

From stripes to florals to abstract designs, picking a printed dress or jumpsuit is the easiest way to go. But if you have the time to mix and match things up, make sure to try these stylish combinations.

  • Printed crop top and white/light-colored Palazzo pants
  • Plain top and printed shorts/skirt
  • Print on print (printed top + printed bottoms)

3. Charm in a Crop Top

Charm in a Crop Top

We’ve mentioned the crop top before, and we’ll mention it again. After all, it’s one of the best pieces to wear on a hot summer night. And why not? A crop top exposes strategic parts of your body, thus keeping them cool and ventilated.

A crop top is available in various styles and colors, so don’t be surprised if you end up amassing some in your closet. For summer nights, however, we recommend going for vibrant colors, prints, or the simple yet sophisticated color white.

Crop tops go well with basically anything, so you’re free to go in whichever direction you please. Whether you’re going for a street style or a more sophisticated one, be sure to pair your crop tops with any of the following:

  • Palazzo pants
  • Linen pants
  • Lightweight or flowy skirt (mini, midi, or maxi lengths would do)
  • Shorts made of linen, cotton, or any other breathable material

4. Sashay in a Skirt

Like the trademark summer dress, a skirt is a must-have piece for any summer outing. It’s flowy and breezy, so you won’t feel uncomfortable despite the high temps outside. Best of all, it pairs well with all kinds of tops: crop, tank, tube, sleeveless, you name it!

Skirts come in several styles, and while they’re all good for summer, we recommend going for skirts made with lightweight fabrics. Cotton and linen are perfect examples. They’re highly breathable, so you won’t end up sweaty on those record-breaking hot days.

Avoid synthetic fabrics such as polyester, nylon, and spandex; they’ll only trap heat and sweat.

Remember: as long as you pick the right fabric, you can go with whatever skirt length you want. Be it mini, midi, long, or maxi, breathable fabrics should keep you cool on balmy summer evenings.

5. Accessorize

Accessorize

Even if you’re already wearing a vibrant pink dress or a printed ensemble, there’s no reason not to accessorize at all. Remember: summer dressing is all about standing out!

When accessorizing, however, balance is key. If you’re already wearing an eye-catching style, keep it simple with your gold or diamond earrings, necklace, and other jewelry.

But if you’re donning a simple outfit, such as a white dress or romper, then make sure to go all out with the accessories. Big earrings, statement necklaces, thick bangles, you name it. The louder, the better.

Despite the unbelievably high temps, it’s easy to look stylish during sizzling summer nights. It’s a matter of picking the right pieces and making sure they’re made of summer-worthy fabrics. Accessorize them with gold and diamond earrings and other jewelry, and voila: now you have the perfect summer night outfit.
